George Fox came up with a big win for its young program as well, as the Bruins finished a 13-play, 85-yard drive with a 2-yard touchdown run by John Shaffer with 20 seconds left to defeat Redlands. Shaffer ran for two scores and had 131 yards from scrimmage, while Grant Schroeder was 31-for-50 passing for 425 ayrds and three TDs.

Albion dropped 60 on offense for the second week in a row as Dominic Bona threw for 370 yards and four touchdowns and Mike Czarnecki ran for 181 yards and a score in a 60-49 win vs. Augustana. Colin Parks and Bona added 96 and 86 yards, respectively, for the Britons (2-0), while Chris McCall was on the other end of the line for Bona to the tune of five catches for 106 yards and three TDs. Augustana had taken a 49-46 lead on Sam Frasco's 41-yard touchdown run with 8:02 left but the Britons scored on two drives of under two minutes apiece to take the lead, then seal the game.

One of the many coaching mantras is that a team's biggest improvement is between its first and second game. That couldn't be more true for anyone this week than Bluffton. The Beavers lost to Wilmington last week, allowing the Quakers to snap a multi-season losing streak. In Week 2, however, they took on Baldwin Wallace, a middle-of-the-pack team in the OAC making its 2015 debut, and the Beavers won 38-26. Senior defensive end Ryan Aelker made his presence known early and often, with eight tackles and two sacks.

FDU-Florham snapped a 19-game losing streak and won its season opener, winning 34-29 at TCNJ. You may remember a big game Malik Pressley had down the stretch last season for FDU-Florham as a freshman. Pressley started his sophomore season on an even bigger high, with 15 catches for 309 yards and four touchdowns in the win. Minnesota-Morris won despite recording just 120 yards of total offense as the Cougars snapped an 11-game losing streak in defeating Greenville 19-13. Morris' scores came on a 10-yard drive, a safety, as well as two drives that started on Greenville's side of the field.

A week after Steven Ferreira threw a Hail Mary to win the game, Kyle Schneider got the call at quarterback for Cortland and led the Red Dragons to a 61-49 win at Framingham State. Schneider was 20-for-27 for 382 yards and four touchdowns, outdueling his counterpart, the Rams' Matthew Silva. Silva threw for 510 yards on 43-for-59 passing, all three numbers setting school records.

Loras ran 118 plays on offense, but would have needed at least two more as the Duhawks lost at home to UW-Stout, 52-42. The Stout defense gave up 792 yards of total offense as Josh Schulte had 15 catches and Danny Willis 14 for Loras. Loras also had two quarterbacks each throw more than 30 passes. 

Matt Pawlowski threw five touchdowns for the second time in two weeks, but the defense did its job as well, holding Methodist to minus-8 yards rushing in a 55-7 Guilford win. Stevenson found its offense in a pouring rain as Jeff Farrah threw for 307 yards and four touchdowns, two of them to Seth Jordan, in a 38-14 win vs. Lycoming.

Coe beat its archrival for the 16th consecutive season as the Kohawks put up 34 points in the second half to beat Cornell 50-3. Coe got big performances on the ground from Sam Lahr (26 carries, 165 yards) and Quincy Porter (1-90) as each scored a touchdown in the win.
