Jordan Ratliffe ran for 56 yards on the first play of a drive early in the fourth quarter and Booker Ross scored on an 18-yard touchdown run one play later to help lift No. 7 UW-Whitewater to a 17-14 win at No. 9 UW-Oshkosh.
Oshkosh went three-and-out twice in the fourth quarter and was intercepted on its final drive as Marcus McLin deflected Nick Olla's pass into the hands of Kyle Wismer near midfield to secure the win for the Warhawks.
Ratliffe finished with 126 yards on 21 carries, while Jake Kumerow caught nine passes for 135 yards in the win. Cole Myhra was limited to 78 yards on 13 carries for the Titans, who fell to 6-1, 3-1 in the WIAC.
Illinois Wesleyan improved to 7-0 for the first time since 1996, as the No. 20 Titans defeated No. 10 Wheaton 30-19. Rob Gallik was 24-for-39 for 267 yards and three TDs in the win. Wheaton has not won on the road at Illinois Wesleyan since 2002.
Ithaca defeated St. John Fisher for the first time in eight tries, defeating the No. 25-ranked Cardinals 25-22. Ithaca returned the second-half kickoff 88 yards and scored three plays later to take the lead on the Cardinals, then took advantage of another big play to set up its second score of the quarter in the win. St. John Fisher scored with 2:53 to go to cut the deficit to three and recovered an onside kick but Tyler Fenti was picked off in Ithaca territory to end the threat. The win was No. 150 for coach Mike Welch.
No. 24 Salisbury remained in the driver's seat in the Empire 8, defeating Hartwick 17-0 on the road thanks in part to two interceptions by Nick Anzallo, one by Andre Carter and one by James Hall.
No. 17 Pacific Lutheran rolled out to a 28-7 halftime lead and cruised through the second half in defeating No. 21 Willamette 35-24. Dalton Ritchey was a dual threat in the Lutes' backfield, rushing for 158 yards and three touchdowns and passing for 196 yards and another. Willamette quarterback Josh Dean was picked off five times.
Thirteen players got carries for Linfield as part of a 351-yard ground attack as the No. 2 Wildcats led an incredible 70-0 at the half in an 84-7 win vs. Lewis and Clark. Linfield scored 42 points in the second quarter, none of them on defense or special teams as its longest possession was 1:41.
No. 16 John Carroll pitched another shutout, defeating Ohio Northern 47-0. The Blue Streaks held Patrick Angle to 7-for-22 passing and 67 yards while permitting just 126 yards of total offense.
Hobart scored 35 unanswered points on its way to a 35-13 Liberty League win over RPI. Patrick Conlan threw for 191 yards and three scores, while Steven Webb ran for 129 and two TDs on 23 carries.
A blocked punt and recovery for a touchdown by freshman defensive end Dashaun Cummings with 3:45 left in the third keyed No. 19 Wesley's 20-13 win vs. Menlo. The Oaks led 7-3 at the half but Wesley scored 17 points in the third quarter to take a 20-7 lead and held on to win.
Concordia-Moorhead scored 27 unanswered points in the first half and the No. 22 Cobbers won for the 500th time in program history, defeating Augsburg 47-20. Wabash and Wittenberg remained on track for a North Coast Athletic Conference showdown in two weeks, as the Little Giants defeated Oberlin on the road and Wittenberg won at Kenyon.
No. 1 Mount Union and No. 3 Mary Hardin-Baylor had little trouble with teams who have played other ranked teams this season. The Purple Raiders defeated Otterbein 48-0, while Otterbein lost to St. John Fisher 28-0 earlier in the season. Third-ranked Mary Hardin-Baylor defeated Hardin-Simmons 63-7, several weeks after Linfield defeated HSU 71-21.
Alex Fenske threw for 360 yards and four TDs as St. Thomas took out some of its frustration on Hamline, defeating the Pipers 43-7. Brandon Cherry rushed for a career-high 176 yards and one touchdown and freshman Stuart Walters added a personal-best 130 yards and a score as No. 13 Johns Hopkins defeated Gettysburg 34-16.
