More news about: Gallaudet | Juniata | Trinity (Conn.)

Evan Bunker moved into second place on the NESCAC's all-time rushing list and Trinity (Conn.) beat Bowdoin 40-21 to win its 50th consecutive home game.

Seniors Evan Bunker and Ben Crick rumbled for 263 rushing yards and scored the game's first two touchdowns to lead Trinity (Conn.) to its 50th consecutive home victory. The Bantams defeated Bowdoin 40-21.

Trinity (Conn.) is a member of the NESCAC, which does not send its champion to the football playoffs. The Bantams last lost at home in 2001 to Williams, 31-10. In-state rival Wesleyan is the only other remaining 5-0 NESCAC team, after the Cardinals handed Amherst its first loss, 20-14.

Matt Pawlowski threw for two touchdowns and Josh Schow ran for one in Guilford's 21-14 win at Bridgewater, moving to 3-0 in the ODAC and knocking Bridgewater to 0-3 in the league. Guilford is 3-0 in the conference for the first time since 1998. The Quakers are joined atop the conference by Randolph-Macon, which got four Will McGhee touchdown runs and a late fumble recovery to preserve at 27-21 win against Washington & Lee, and Hampden-Sydney, which cruised past Emory & Henry.

Juniata handed Ursinus its first loss of the season, defeating the Bears 28-7. The Eagles rolled out to a 28-0 lead at the half behind three TD passes and a TD run from Ward Udinski and held the Bears at bay the rest of the way.

Ron Garrett scored for the King's defense for an incredible fifth consecutive week. This time, it was a 20-yard fumble return that greeted a new Stevenson quarterback in the first half. King's made the margin stand up with a 31-24 win. Garrett spoke with D3sports.com's Dave McHugh in the interview at right, or click here if on mobile.

Dion Williams blocked a 26-yard field goal attempt and Eric Blinn scored the game-winning touchdown eight plays later to give Bethany a 27-20 win at Waynesburg. The Bison remain in the group of teams with one loss at the top of the PAC.

Matthew Aven kicked field goals of 62 and 50 yards but that was all the offense Claremont-Mudd-Scripps could muster in a 20-6 loss to Cal Lutheran. The kick tied the Division III record for longest field goal, set by Dom Antonini of Glassboro State (now Rowan) in a game vs. Salisbury on Sept. 18, 1976.

Morrisville State had 120 more yards and 16 more first downs, but it was TCNJ that found a way to win, 21-20. The Lions will spend the week in first place in the NJAC, before heading to Cortland State next week.

There's a new team in control of the USAC race as well. Maryville rushed for 292 yards and, despite only putting six points on the board in the second half, beat Christopher Newport, 30-17.

B.J. Flores ran for 168 yards, one of five Bison to rush for 68 or more as Gallaudet remained unbeaten, topping Castleton State 38-12.

Octavias McKoy had another huge rushing day, going for 226 yards and five touchdowns in Western Connecticut State's 70-14 win against Fitchburg State.

Devon Fuller picked off four passes to lead Mass-Dartmouth to a 34-33 win against Worcester State in a MASCAC matchup. Charles Ruffin  rumbled into the end zone on a 4-yard touchdown with just over a minute left.

Western New England picked up its second win of the season, defeating Union 33-30 in double overtime. Jon Krafick hit Andrew Walz for a 25-yard touchdown pass in the second extra period, their second scoring hookup of the day.

Mike Pitzenberger ran for 199 yards and three touchdowns on 36 carries and Nick Cortese added another 138 yards on 20 rushes as Catholic defeated Shenandoah 37-7. Lake Forest defeated Monmouth 17-14 to improve to 6-1, 5-1 in the Midwest Conference. Charlie Quinn ran for 94 yards and a TD in the victory. (Photo gallery and postgame interview at right.)

DePauw scored a touchdown and two field goals in the fourth quarter including Eric Malm's 37-yard game winner with 4.6 seconds left and took a 23-21 win at Ohio Wesleyan.

Ithaca had five takeaways, including four interceptions, and Tom Dempsey threw three touchdown passes in a 26-21 win at Utica.
